I think 4.56's might be a bit much for me. But I think the turck is probably sporting 3.08s right now as 5th gear is like SUPER overdrive! The road I live on has a 45 MPH speed limit and just barely loafing in 3rd puts me right at the speed limit. I think I will switch to 3.73's. But we'll see. I think the 4.56's would be a lot of fun but a bit more gear than what I am looking for with the intended purpose of my truck.

PJF95.... Ya we use the 456 because its not a daily driver...Its just for fun... I wouldnt like to drive on the interstate very far with those gears....373s good street gear

yeah my truck has 3.55' now but if i dont like them with the 5.0 i will change it to 4.10's
I just got back from the Friday Night Drags at Houston Raceway Park. The only modification I did was to install a 1 inch phenolic spacer on the intake. It dropped my time from a 14.0962 to a best time of 13.645 @96.41 MPH with a .468 reaction time.With a posi,gears,and tires I`m hoping to get in the 12`s this summer.

I was looking at the NHRA rules and it states that if you run a 13.99 or faster that you need to wear a helmet. Thats probably why the girl that handed me the time slip asked me if I had a helmet,but I only saw one driver wearing one,the girl that smoked me in a Nova.

.....Cool those are some good times..Yeah you need a helmet & driveshaft loops & you should be good..I have to do the loops & down tube for the nitrous before i go back to the track..Yeah if you get a good posi & gears & tires it will make alot of diference..MT drag radials or ET slicks will work great..Have fun with it !!
