I used to race around in my truck alot back when i was younger and it was my daily driver. One time we went to a "smoke show" (spin your tires, person that makes the most smoke wins a new set of tires!) and after the show there was races. I didnt lose a race that afternoon against other trucks. Mostly early nineties chevies, a couple of late 80's dodges, and one old dodge with a mean sounding 360.

I had that little 302 revving as high as she could handle it!

Your lucky! When I was younger, and where i grew up, street racing wasnt done with those old muscle cars!

The first car I really streetraced hard was a 78 pontiac grand lemans with a 350. Second car was an 81 pontiac grand prix with a a 350 from an old chevy truck (that thing could move!) The chevy products were popular because of availability of parts.

Last car i streetraced with was an 87 mustang gt, and that was pretty fun to race with, won lots, lost lots, and got lots of tickets haha.
