Ok... i'll break away from cop talk . The box chevy is a 80's sedan. Zip ties no... U-bolts yes. The guy that was driving it was proud of what he did and ashamed as well ... We make fun so bad we let him leave with any citations...

While on my weekly boneyard trip about 6 years ago there was an '85 F250 on its roof way in the back with the body partially sheared off the frame. It has a CEMENT filled PVC 5" body lift. I could not believe it.

I have been following this thread for awhile and I believe I can reproduce this scenario in a mythbusters type experiment to confirm or disprove the theory.
PM me for the address to send the chicken wire and wood blocks. I think I can make this work.
side note: during WWII they made wheels ans tires from wood.
By the way a lot of people thought Henry F was a loon.

I gotta say,if you were driving an Auto tranny, and were real gentle applying throttle,on a reasonably well matched tire size to gear ratio vehicle,on mostly straight and level ground, and either didnt brake,or used brakes like you do driving on snow or ice,you just might get lucky and make it for the 15 miles that prozon mentioned..... i find it to be a longshot for sure, but maybe possible.....
