So my check engine light came on the other day and stayed on for 3 days, it went off on its own just before my buddy read the codes (literally 2 minutes before). He checked the computer anyway and there were 2 codes there, P1247 and P1248. I checked them on here and the 1247 is low turbo boost and the 1248 is no turbo boost detected, but like I said the check engine light went out on its own and the truck seems to be running totally fine! Should I be worried?
Make sure the electrical connection on the MAP sensor is okay. When I put in the OverBoost Annihilator, I left the plug disconnected and got that code. Might also check to see if the line came loose from the spider...
Look for the line in your truck I have a tee in -- that the MAP sensor line (disregard the arrow pointing to the HPX).
EDIT: Here's another angle, shows where the line connects to the spider:
thanks guys
I checked the connections this morning and everything seemed good.
Could the cold have anything to do with this, as it was probably -20 at the time?
I have to talk to my buddy to see if the codes have reappeared or not.
Sure it could. You might have issues with the EBPV/EBPS. Could have some gelling going on with the fuel, or both. Keep an eye on things especially when it's cold, and use anti-gel fuel treatment.
