Well about 5 days ago my cruise controll went out. That night I took off the front bumper and the next day it didn't work. I am open for all suggestions on why it just quit for no aparent reason. I have already checked fuse # 13 and its good so I am at a loss right now. Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Nick
You really need a scanner to run a switch test on the diesel trucks Nick. Do you know anyone with an AE? I can't think of anything the front bumper would affect in regards to the cruise control.

Not that I know of. How much does the dealer charge for that usually.
I'll see if I can find a diagram for you, but that's not what usually causes the problem. Switches, sensors, loose wires, there's lots of issues that can cause this.
Yes getting a test with a scanner can be expensive. That's why an AE becomes affordable at $341. It will pay for itself after just a few uses.
I would agree that in this case, it is easier to let someone with the correct tools take care of your problem as there are many things that can cause this concern. At least get it diagnosed, then replace the part yourself.
