Hello all. I know this is the 7.3 fourm but you guys are great with the help so I thought that you could help with this problem. My friend with the 95 power stroke broke his tie rod today and I was woundering if you all coould steer me towards some good info for fixing and replaceing the tire rods. Thanks again
Nick
I only use Moog replacement parts. High quality stuff but pricey...for a reason, they last.
The ones I use have grease fittings, not sure if they come without them? Try to
duplicate the original length(s) so it can be driven to the alignment shop. It's been my
experience that when one of the steering components breaks or wears out the others
aren't far behind. I replace everything to save on alignment costs down the road. Might
be a good time to look into the ball joints too.

Thats exactly what my friend wants to do. Is there a kit I can buy that replaces everything? And does any one have a link?
No kit that I know of, order each part separately. Any good auto part store will have what
you need. Might need to order them though.
Be prepared for sticker shock. These are just guess-ti-mates.
BTW: This will take the warrior out of your weekend
1 Center link $120
1 Drag link $120
2 Tie rod adjusting sleeves $25 each, (maybe re-use the old ones, I don't)
1 Right Tie rod end $70
1 Left tie rod end $120
2 lower ball joints $55 each
2 upper ball joints $40 each
