F250 ride better with lift springs?

I've read a few dozen posts about this and didn't find an answer. I've got a 1987 F250. It rides like crap, every leaf spring F250 I've ever been in has. I've owned a couple F350's that rode very nicely, so I know the suspension can be tuned to be less jarring. My question is whether or not a good 4" lift will make the ride any better. My 350's were very nice on long drives, this thing wears me out within a couple hours.

honestly i think the 250s ride better with their IFS than the 350s with solid axles and with a 4 inch skyjacker lift that kept my IFS up front and it rides almost the same as it did before (slightly better or the same) worse than a superduty but exactly how i would expect a 96 all leaf suspended truck to ride, no city car, but not bad

My F250 w/ 4" rough country lift rides much better than my stock 95 150.

So no significant change then? Bummer, was hoping a lift might soften it a bit when I rebuild the front suspension. I'll dig into the softride kits some more.

My 97 F350 (solid axle) rides a lot better with the 6" Skyjacker soft ride springs. I have always thought my solid axle F350 rode better (stock or lifted) than my friend's 95 F250 (TTB).

Either way, they all seem to ride like a REAL truck, which seems to be a lost concept nowadays (IMO, of course )
