Hello everyone, I have a 2004 f-150 with 118920mi. It has the code alarm remote start. I am having an issue with it starting when its below 30 degrees. When it gets that cold the truck won't wanna start on the first try. Depending on the temp outside, it sometimes takes 3-4 tries before it will start. But the truck will start first try with the key, every time. Is there anything I can do to help it start on these really cold mornings? I had the battery tested and it is still good. I also always unplug my radar detector and things like that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Had the same remote start in my truck last winter and it did the same thing. I tired every possible thing to fix it Changing the tach input 3 times. When I was on a ignition coil once I could not adjust the heat or turn the lights on without the truck shutting off!! I did get it to start once at 5f on the first time by setting the tach learn at about 1400 rpm by holding the gas pedle down while it was learning. Well the next day is was about 35-40f out and the truck kept shuting off and restarting once it it low idle (900 rpm)
Well I had it with the thing, I ripped it out and got a ultra start had it has been flawless. It has started the truck at -25f on the first time.
Sorry for my rant, but that was my experience with the code alarm.
Can you tell me the procedure? I bought the truck used and it didn't come with the manuals for the remote start
I can look and see if I can find the info for you...do you know what model you have...530 by chance?
For crank time the longest you can get it to is 1.4 seconds (as i recall)........which when it's below zero out that is still not long enough for it to start on the first try.
