without a push button lock on the triangular window it just takes a butter knife to unlatch the lock. My 69 f-100 was broken into this way. To lock the hood on a slick I've hear you can take a drill and drill through the safety catch. Once the hood is shut you just reach through the grill and lock a padlock through the hole you created. Might save a stolen battery depending on where you live. There are a lot of battery disconnect devices available to help keep folks from hotwiring you ride also.
