I am beginning to wonder if they phased in the winter blend quickly enough. You see, I just noticed a drop in mpg for the 99 E300 Turbodiesel. Up to now, I had been getting a certain mileage and on the last tank, it did drop as it did last year but why now? Could it be that the tanks in the ground still had much of the old stuff and they haven't gotten the winter stuff in yet?

I suppose its possible..but I filled up at a really big truck stop, they go through thousands of gallons of diesel fuel. I highly doubt there'd be anything old in those tanks.
