Mud flaps make a truck. IMHO they are more a function of necessity that worrying about looks. Even using the truck as a grocery getter you can still get rock chips.
I use my trucks like trucks so mud flaps are a must. To me a truck without Mudflaps looks naked.
anyone have photos of the factory Ford splash guards installed on their 09....also any drilling required??? all the dealers around here are about 75 bucks for front and rear over the counter.... sounds pricey but what isn't.....
I've always thought that trucks were supposed to be MEAN looking, and with that thought process, mud flaps made the trucks look like sissy trucks. Trucks are supposed to have mud thrown on them...
Now that I've washed my truck a few times and am more on the **** side of trying to keep her clean, I'm second guessing the "No Mud Flap" doctrine. Nothing is driving me more mad than the first time I take her out after she's been washed and have mud streaks from the road

Try white truck with chrome step bars. Reason I am getting flaps of some kind for my truck. Mud is fine but just that nasty greyish road filth kicked up because it rained for 15 minutes...looks like my truck had an accident on itself. With my medium blue 98 it wasn't such an issue.
