Reading IDM box numbers, any chart?
I recently bought a IDM box. I'm trying to figure out what the serial number means. is there a chart or a manual that I can use to know what the numbers mean on my box. (like year model or stick / auto)
My box number is PN# XC3F-12B599-AD

The only real difference between the IDM's is the voltage. They aren't specific to trans/gearing and such. They pretty much interchangable and going from the 110v to the 120v, or doing the 140v IDM mod is a plus.

I bought a low mileage used one and modified it. I kept the OEM for a spare. Do you have your resistor? PM me, if you need one.

You have a 120v IDM interchanges with your OEM one.

I got my idm box today. Its definately shows fair signs of use on the exterior. I opened it to look around and found a pin on the inside burned off. its on the inside before it goes to the outside of the plug. I thought i'd try the box just like it is so i installed it and the truck starts and idles smooth. should i be concerned with this? or will something fail?
