Strange Check Engine Light Problem

is there anything else that would make the truck run this bad there are no codes in the PCM except the P1316 - IDM Codes Detected but randomly works then quits what else could this be

If you are getting the P1316 code, it means that there are codes stored inside the IDM itself. Now if those codes are left over from the repair, then they need to be cleared out. But with the problems you are having, you may have several issues going on at once. First is the grey CPS, second, is what's causing the P1316.

true, this morning it did something different when its cold it runs like crap but when its warm it runs better, but you can feel and hear when the pcm controls the idm to do something maybe the coolant sensor is out or something
