Wireless Fees

Just wondering about fees for the new 'connectivity'

Case one would be the GPS direction finders. Newest models 'connect ' and download more things than I probably care about. What does this connectivity cost?

Case two is the Amazon Kindle. You pay some exorbitant fee for the book/magazine downloads. Is there another charge for the connection.
( I would actually opt to transfer from my computer if that's possible -- I can actually wait a few hours/days to get a new book!)

Thanks

I don't know if it is just to early in the morning or what, but I can't understand what you are asking..

What is the new connectivity??

What is a GPS directional finder have to do with wireless fees??

I know amazon kindle is a ebook reader, but not sure if it is wireless or the costs associated with it..

Sorry if I wasn't clear.

The new GPS mapping units (Tom Tom/ Garmin. etc) apparently do a wireless connection to access information. Not sure what info they go after, but it probably includes the GPS for your destination.

As far as the Kindle goes, it gets its books, magazines, etc, wirelessly. Sony was ripped for not providing this access with their reader.

I'm not necessarily interested in either feature. I just wonder how much all of this 'connectivity' costs. I 'm curious about wireless costs in general. Every new gadget that comes out (including video cams) can 'connect'.
