Me either. I just installed some on my truck 3 weeks ago. I love how they look and they really take most of the harshness that I was getting with my stock shocks with 115,000 miles on them.

My truck had a leaky shock with 145k and since i was making a loaded cross county move i decided to replace them. But i went the cheaper route sice i had a hook up.

For the stock height replacements and 5100s up to 6" of lift, yes.

The 5125s (7-8" lift and taller) have a one year warranty.

I believe I read a while back that the stock ones only are good for 40-50K miles, but it probably has to do more with the load & use than anything.

i have 50k on the monroe shocks on my truck. the ride is rough but not much worse than when I first put them on.

i would like to eventually replace them with some bilsteins. $272.56 for a set of 4 Heavy Duty is almost 3x what I paid for the set of monroes. I really hope the ride will be 3x better.

Is it a lifetime warranty, or a Limited Lifetime warranty. Are they covering just manufacturer defects or when they get worn out do they replace them?

From their site:

GENERAL WARRANTY DETAILS
ThyssenKrupp Bilstein of America warrants its gas pressure shock absorbers against defects in workmanship and materials for as long as you, the original purchaser, own your car.
If at any time after purchase or installation, the shock malfunctions and Bilstein determines it to be defective, we will either replace it or repair it.
There are only a few specific exceptions to this warranty. They include:
  • Original equipment shock absorbers - which are warrantied by the original equipment manufacturer.
  • Improper installation,
  • Racing, driving competition or off-road use,
  • Use on modified or other than Bilstein-recommended vehicles.
  • Bent or broken Rods showing abuse or abnormal wear
Bilstein's liability for a defective shock absorber is limited to replacement of shock with a new or reconditioned Bilstein shock absorber. Rubber mounting hardware and labor charges are not covered by the warranty.
Note: Other exclusions may or may not apply in certain states or rare circumstances. Proof of purchase is required to process warranty.
For additional information about our warranty, please contact our Warranty Hotline by phone at 1(800) 370-9522 or email at warranty@bilstein.com.
