Job cuts

Wow 43000 job cuts so far today, 20000 at cat ,2000 at gm,sprint 8000, philips 6000, home depot 7000. Things aren't looking bright in 09.

they projected job growth and maybe home sales growth dec 09 (hopefully no later).

08 was bad, 09 could be alot worse

Pfizer just added 19000 more That is over 60k today alone. This is the worst day I can remember for job cuts.

I already know the day of my career demise, Mar. 1 09. 16 working days until the plant closes permanently.........Boy, I feel like working hard.

Dang. Job losses are hitting an all-time high.

I hate to hear it, guys. I truly do. The economy is in the toilet and a lot of people that WANT to work, can't.

Walking on thin ice here. . . that sux.

Seems infrastructure and green energy systems will the the highlight in 2009 around here. Ontario awarded 6 long term green energy projects creating 2,200 direct and indirect jobs.

As far as Residential \ Commercial , it's gone and probably won't be back any sooner than the 3-4 quarters, if at all this year.

It's a scary world these days to try and make a buck !

It looks like there's another wave of bank failures comming up, I know this week is going to have alot of bad news comming like the GDP contraction numbers from 4th quarter of last year.

Everybody wants to cry about job losses, but what would you rather have? A few (which may mean many of thousands in a LARGE company) people out of work, or the company shut down entirely and possible a few hundred to a few million people out of work all at once?
