Guys I'm getting ready to install a B&M shift kit in my 92 EB E4OD tranny, now how many bolts am I looking at to remove and is there alot of checkballs to worry about coming out when removing the valve body? Is there a how to on this just in case I run into a snag...?
I did one on a 4R70W... About 4hrs... just keep the valve body level when your removing it & nothing should fall out...Be carefull of the drill bits in the kit they break easy...
I think it was like 7 quarts.. but we put a deep pan on to.... Some where in the instrucsions it will tell you what you need... You have to be carfull not to overfill its easy to do.... I dont know why they dont put drain plugs in the pan... it would make it a lot easyer ... We used the B&M trick shift fluid.
Guys on my B&M shift kit, it came with a electrical connector that has two male ends what and where do I connect this to? This kit was suppose to be a mechanical shift kit and I don't have a clue where it goes.... On my shift kit instructions it says to refer to figure 13, but there isn't a figure 13 picture? My shift kit I bought was this kit below:
B&M SHIFT IMPROVER KIT FORD / MERCURY 89-97 E4OD-10025
Shift improver kit... The kit i did was the B&M trans pac.. Some times you dont need everthing in the kit....It should have instructions for reg & street strip...You might be able to go to B&M site or summitt site & get instructions on there...The instructions that came with are kit were realy good... I would asume this conector would go between your wires that go to the valve body ?? No sure but i think this kit might change your line preasure... The kit we did didnt have any thing electrical...There are two ways this kit can be done.... Reg towing.... street strp...So the instuctions are going to be diferant.... Good luck...
Well I got the instructions for the jumper wire and installed it.... Well it didn't do much, but my make my rpms on the tach kinda pulse down intermittently, talk about weird.... So I guess you can't stick a resistor on a early 92 E4OD tranny.....?
