If you purchase a custom tuned chip from us, then yes, you would only pay for a five-position chip if you opted for a stock calibration on one of the levels. As far as diagnosing a potential engine problem, you could always simply remove the chip; however, if that's one of your settings, you could just dial it in instead of having to go through the process of accessing the PCM.

Our high idle is set to 1100 rpm.

You can load up the generic codes, and tweak as you learn

It comes with a manual that tells you what each item is, and what it does.

According to Bill, it would be pretty close. Something else to keep in mind is that since the single shot injectors are louder to begin with, the difference between the normal programs and WhisperMode™ would be more dramatic than with split shots.
