and i also see that if i chose the "stock position" that its no charge? so the siz position chip becomes charged as a 5 position. is that correct? and also if i opt to not get the "stock" setting does that affect diagnosing any potential engine problems down the road?
and also, what rpm is the high idle set to?
If you purchase a custom tuned chip from us, then yes, you would only pay for a five-position chip if you opted for a stock calibration on one of the levels. As far as diagnosing a potential engine problem, you could always simply remove the chip; however, if that's one of your settings, you could just dial it in instead of having to go through the process of accessing the PCM.
A chip is still a little ways away for me right now. I gotta get gauges first. Im just gonna keep my eyes open and see if I can learn more on these folks. I'll either go with TW or these guys when I get ready. They offer a "quiet mode" that sparks my curiosity. I wonder if TW can do a Quiet Mode. I hate turning my truck off at the drive thru.

Hi there,
We still have to pull SmokeShow off the video camera, but here's the video we shot with the digital camera on Saturday of WhisperMode, which we consider a standard tune:
According to Bill, it would be pretty close. Something else to keep in mind is that since the single shot injectors are louder to begin with, the difference between the normal programs and WhisperMode™ would be more dramatic than with split shots.
We actually made a post on our forum with videos of Whisper Mode™ AND our High-Idle if you'd like to check them out. As soon as we find a spare half hour, we'll get SmokeShow™ off the other camera and onto the web.
