Just bought a 1976 F250 and I need a new or used bench seat for it. I have tried typing in a 1000 different ways to phrase bench seat on google and I cant find anyting for sale, except for seat covers that is. Does anyone know of any good web sites or a place to call to get a bench seat? Thanks, GM32
And yes I have ben to the local " U Pull It" and there either thrashed or gone already.
A bench seat upto 91 or 96 (I cant remember which) will fit. All you have to do is swap the rails from yours onto it. 2 bolts on either side. Ive got 86's in my 78 F150 and 76 1ton dump.
In trying to find a seat for my '40 pickup, I found one of two jump seats from a 1976 GMC Travelall, that proved to be the right width to set onto the floor riser. There was a riser to accommodate the gas tank, which was under the seat in the '46 cab. (I was glad to take the tank out, since sitting on 20 gallons of gasoline is not the best habit). The only thing that was necessary, was to narrow the front, as the cab has a taper, which is not that apparent until you try fitting something that does not. I removed the seat cover (carefully, since it was to be reused) and angled the seat frame, and adapted the padding and cover to the tapered frame. This needed support spring attachments to relocate, and tucking the cover on places, and some cutting of ends that were needing shortening. The result was worth the effort, and was a good use for the jump seats, that were narrow in the original truck, allowing walking to the seats from inside. This worked for my truck, which was a '46 Ford pickup cab, modified to become a '40. I have pics of the seat in my archives (somewhere) if you need visual help with this.

Are you looking for a new/remanufactured seat? If you can use a used one go here: https://www.car-part.com/ put in your truck's info and search for front seat. Then tell it to interchange 1973-1979 and see if any of the listings are close enough to you and have usable seats.
