Bad MPG???

My truck is a 1986 f150 4x4 with a 5.0 efi and an AOD trans. Right now for winter Im running 31" tires and Im getting between 9 and 11 MPG. From what I have heard from other people this is terrible for a 302 and an AOD. Also the truck has a new jasper engines longblock, a recent tune up, Im running 93 octane fuel, it does have true dual exhaust with no emmisions. Could something with the emmisions be messed up when they took them off? It has 3.55 gears too. Does this sound right, or do you guys know of anything that could cause this?

Yea, I couldnt remember if I did or not so I had to go out and check. It does have one yet though.

3.55 gears, 4 wheel drive, V8, automatic, heavier tires are all less than ideal. And ripping out the emissions equipment on an EFI engine has got to hurt.
