its not actually a fuel line but the "tube" that goes from the fuel tank to the fuel filler cap. there's the main "tube" i guess i'll call it, then off of it there's a small tube or breather tube maybe its called??
well, i noticed today while under the truck looking for a "new noise", (possible bedliner sqweaking with snow in it), but i noticed that the small tube i described above is rusted though.
question...
what are the disadvantages of not fixing this right away? and, does it affect pressure in the tank or fuel pumping to engine in any way? or anything else you might know of?

 

well if its rusted between tank and filler cap, then cut it out and put a rubber hose. and to stop further corrosion get POR15 and paint it asap.
well its not affecting much, but crap migt get inside tank, and you sucking dirt and dust in.but it might cause fuel spill when you fill it up ...get it fixed...

no not yet, i just found this a few hours ago and thought while sitting here on couch i'd get some thoughts. i like the rubber fuel line idea.

 

ok. im sure you find a solution to it, but like i said clean it, cut it out and paint it with POR15 to stop further corrosion. and you will be set for a while...

Yeah, that's a good idea. So is hijacking your thread because you have about three options. Fix the rust, throw a hose on, replace it. I have not seen a problem on mine.
