BACKUP ALARM False beeping--FROZEN OR DUMB?
Well it was -27 degrees in Canada's capital and I was backing into a parking space, and the backup beeper starts beeping like crazy but there's nobody and nothing behind the truck. I had cleaned the road salt and grime off the bumper sensors and they were nice and clean.
Has anyone had their backup alarm false trigger in extreme cold?
The exhaust was thicker than usual because of the cold, so was the truck just beeping at its own exhaust telling me to be careful not to hit it? Its a little milder today...no problem.

a small amount of water seeps into that microscopic oval in the center of the sensors...ices up and causes that...get that cleaned out and you'll be back in business...if you want to fix it...get a hair dryer and a rag and you can have it back in order in ten minutes....at least until they get wet again...
