I may be just ignorant...but are H1's the same as 9145's? My truck has H1's in the fogs...My neighbor retrofitted H13's into his fogs which is the same as the headlights. I have PIAA Xtreme White Bulbs and can tell you that they are much better than the Silverstars. They are made to withstand more vibration,heat, and to my expirience longer burn times. (my daily driver (04 gsxr1000) has had the same two headlamp bulbs for 4 yrs which run 100%of the time the ignition is in the on position)
I know that they are a different application and our trucks may not go through the same but:
I have had PIAA bulbs in all of my "street Legal" race motorcycles (GSXR1000,1300,and 750) and have dumped them pretty harshly with the light on and they all have survived. Only once did I install silverstars and they popped after a harsh wheelie landing.
