I was wondering what is louder, Little 1-1/2" Pipes or 3" Pipes?Im looking for a sound that can be heard from far away.
Plus i was wondering what size is the pipe that connects the front cat to the rear cat on my 91 f150 w/351?I was wondering if it was 3" so i can cut the rear one off and just run a 3" pipe right off of it, So is it 3" ???
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-May-02 AT 01:14 PM (EST)]it wouldn't be 3" stock. likely 2 1/2" i think maybe 2 1/4". can't remember what mine was but i put on a 3" system from the "y" on my 88 f250 351w. sounds awesome. works great. but it is not loud. if you want loud you have to find the right muffler.
Well i have the loudest truck at my school. There are kids with sizes from 2 to 3. I am the only one with 3 inch. I have a 460 with dual 3 inch of the manifolds with glasspacks. And it pops very nice when you let off.
