My truck has a weird electrical deal ever since I got the DP Tuner installed. It seems to die when you hit the brake to go from/into park...it is the weirdest thing. I don't like it though.

Scott,
Have you contacted us about this? It's not something you have to live with. If you have an old white flat cable we replaced all of them with a new shielded cables almost 2 years ago. If this is your case I can send you another cable. We have also had reports of RF interferrence with toggle switches for HID lights, plows and other electronical componants. All you need to do is move the ballasts to the passanger side of the truck and move the cables away from each other and it should fix the issue. Although with the 3 7.3's we have here to test on we have never had this problem. My switch is on the steering wheel colume, the F450's is mounted in the dash where the 4x4 controls would be on a 4wd, and Jody's 02 the switch is mounted with the ex gauge mount on the A pillar.
You can install a toggle switch next to the radio and get RF interference. It's not too uncommon. What we have found some trucks are not grounded the same as others and pick up RF where some don't.

No complaints from this DP Tuner owner. I realize that I haven't had mine that long, but so far I have had no problems and my truck runs like a scalded dog on the 120 hp race setting!!!!!!
I put off installing my in-dash mount when I received my F5 chip back in December, and routed the wire up through the dash/steering column. The switch has been hanging from the wire for three weeks without any problem.
I finally installed the mount a couple day's ago because the battery of meds I'm on reduced the pain long enough for me to work on the install.
Diane, I finally met Jody at John Wood's shop last night when I arrived down here in SoCal. He's a lot younger than I thought he would be!

I wish I had read this 2 minutes before I talked to him. I would have played a prank on him.

Mine comes loose for a sec if i push the buttons to fast, I like being able to take F5 switch out for added security if Im in a bad neighborhood though.
Diane, I sent you a PM. I can't pin point the problem to the DP Tuner, so I don't want to bad mouth it. It is probably just a coincidence. I had a brake controller hard wired in (WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT WITH PLUG AND PLAY!?!? ERRRRR) by the PO and I am sure he did something stupid that is causing the problem.
The only reason I relate it to installing the DP Tuner is bc it happended at the same time I installed it. I was down in the area of all those wires and may have knocked one of his ****ty connections loose. (I did look before typing...)
Sflem849, I am having the same problem with my Dp Tuner when in 80E, which is what I use all of the time. On several occassions, when shifting from park to drive, drive to reverse, with foot on brake, the engine will stall. Sometimes it will not restart in 80E but will fire right up in stock. I do have a plow on the truck but I haven't had any snow to use it. The F5 is mounted on the right of the steering wheel. I guess I need to check the connector too.

Mine is mounted in the same exact place. I have been unable to determine where I want to mount it (for over a year...) so I just have it between the two panels like in the direcitons.
It sounds like we are having it happen in the same situations. It never happens when I am going slow like through a stop sign, etc. Only when shifting gears. My wife will only drive it in stock and she has been driving it for a couple weeks. I will ask her if she has had it happen yet.
I called Diane instead of PMing and she was AWESOME! She is sending a new cable just in case that is the problem. DP TUNER IS THE BEST!!!
