So I finish painting our new office and go across the street to the True Value to price some base molding. My truck dies going across the road, I managed to get it fired up just enough to limp into the parking lot. After checking EVERYTHING I decide to finally use my spare CPS (black one) I figured it finally gave out and FTE knowledge will payoff. True to what I read here 10mins later I was done, still no fire. I had called Costco to come rescue me in the meantime. It was quite a fiasco since they said I wasn't a member and I was staring at my costco card. So once they figure it out and apply my executive discount ( ) and send out the tow truck, now 2hrs into it. I get home the tow guy says now that your home it will probably fire right up. I told him with my luck it will. Rewind back to the True Value lot, I had checked my DP since the conection had come loose and killed the truck before. It was still lit up and moved through the programs fine so I diagnosed everything else.....in my driveway I decide to check the plug one more time and guess what.....it had come loose about 1/8", just enough to not let the truck fire. What a nightmare. EVERYONE CHECK YOUR DP CONNECTIONS PERIODICALLY. In the end I am getting a $25 refund from Costco (since they didnt have my membership discount fully applied) Free roadside and windshield repair, Free lockout and window replacement on my home policy, and I saved a couple of gallons of fuel from the tow from our store. That connection is my only gripe about the DP tuner! Once again EVERYONE CHECK YOUR DP CONNECTIONS PERIODICALLY.
I black taped my connection to the back of the switch. I just checked it the other day since the velcro came loose. Glad you got your truck going again.
Just out of curiosity, did you duct tape it in like they advise you to do? I honestly can't imagine mine coming loose, although I suppose anything is possible!

Its the connection to the F5 switch that is lacking. I might try to tape it like you say Chris.
I have my cable tied, behind the dash, to eliminate a "strain" in the connection. I haven't had it come off yet. The mile long ash road to our maintenace shop is pretty rough from dump and OTR truck traffic, so I test it daily.
I have had mine come lose a few times but so far only enough that the truck gets the hickups.
The first time took me a while to figure out. When I touched the switch it would almost die
