clicking noise

I have a 2005 f-150... everyone once in a while... more on long drives, i get a series of small clicks when I let out my gas pedal. There is no other issue as far as I know. However, it is annoying as hell. anyone else have this issue or know how I can fix it?

The clicking from the gas pedal mechanism

I have a series of small clicks that come from the gas pedal mechanism when letting out the pedal itself. It tends to do it after long trips or after the pedal gets a lot of movement. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

Try giving it little bit of WD-40 sounds like it's seizing up or has dirt in it something

Is there any contacts on the top of the gas pedal where you could spray some electrical contact cleaner for the drive by wire system or is it all close?
