Oil pump starting to go? Bad pressure sensor? I'm guessing that the pump is driven off of the distributor?

Over heating... Timing off? Water pump going bad? Bad radiator? Do you have any oil in the water? Or water in the oil?

There is a whole host of problems it could be can you try to narrow some of the obvious ones down?

Ds, No worries, it's just a tired ol FE. Keep it full of oil and don't worry too much about pressure.

I would be more concerned about the overheating. Is it loosing coolant?

Don't waste your money on the bottle thingie. Leave the fluid down a couple inches, or let puke it and as long as you can pop the cap and see fluid, you are OK. An FE has about 5 gallons total of coolant in it. I don't know what kind of water is in your area, but sometimes it can eat the blades off the water pump. I recommend mixing antifreeze and grocery store distilled water to 50/50 when you go back.

I've been driving these ol Fords since the mid 60s, and have one in the back yard now. You get to know the little things about them in time.

If the fluid is flowing there is no way it will boil in minus 0 temps out side. IMHO

Is it boiling fluid or just the guage saying it's hot?

Sometimes them ol gauges need a little castor oil or cod liver oil to make em run right.
