Question block heater question

Does anyone know how many watts the block heater pulls?

1kw. There is a thread on this in the 7.3 forum. Look on the last page and you will see what it is on the meter.

i have a 04 diesel, how hard is it to change the block heater wiring, mine got cut in half and i tried to splice it but does not seem to be working.

I haven't installed one but it should be pretty easy. The wire is sold separately for replacement or for people that didn't have it installed at the factory. It should just plug right into the heater.

Thanks Johnny... i was flipping through a Haynes manual i bought and cant find anything about the block heater.. wonder if it goes by another name too?

thanks Miller! I have a 1750 inverter in my Peterbuilt, it wouold be nice to plug into the inverter for a few hrs before I go home and warm up the block.
