catylitic converter???????

i am thinking of taking the catylitic converter out of my truck. i am just wondering if there are any negative to this wich will make my truck run rough or not run at all. like a air flow sensor or anything like that. it is an early '99 f-350

The only issue that would ever come up is that, technically, removing the cat is illegal. However, the truck will run better without it. So as long as your state doesn't do inspections or check for cats often, you should be fine.
