MBRP Exhaust

Anyone install an MBRP exhaust on their 04+ 4.6 F150? How do they sound?

I'm not looking for anything to loud...just a smooth good sound outside the cab. they've got an alumanized steel catback for a good price.

Whatever will hook up to my stock cat right now. Probably 2.5" or 3" I'm guessing

All MBRPs exhausts listed for your year truck are for Super Cab/Crew Cab short bed trucks, so I would make shure the exhaust will fit your particular truck. I asked about exhaust size because MBRP has the 3.5" single which is oversized for the 5.4l and is super oversized for the 4.6l. The dual 2.5" is on the large size but its better than the 3.5".

Here are some threads on the MBRP 3.5" system on a 5.4l F-150.

If you don't want to spend a lot of $$$ but still get a good properly sized system I would look at a Flowmaster Force 2 cat-back for your truck. It comes with a 50 series muffler which should give you the sound your after without being annoying. I have a FM force 2 kit on my SD and I like it, its a good exhaust for the $$$ and the bends are smoooth. Autoanything is the cheapest around that I've found.

Is the Force II the same as the 50 series SUV performance muffler. I heard the SUV performance muffler is a nice sounding quiet muffler with no cabin noise, but is louder than stock. I want to be a little louder than stock.

You will have to ask flowmaster about that, I think its the 50SUV but better make shure. The SUV is a good muffler and its got extra chambers to help cut down on drone. The 50 HD is also a good muffler but is a little louder than the 50 SUV.
