1950 226 flathead help!!!!
I have a 226 flathead 6cyl. me and my dad is putting in his truck. I need a short shaft water pump pulley for it. He had a 47 model 226 that he sold and bought this 50 model 226. The water pump pulley off the 47 is to long. About 2" deep. Maybe the 50 model came with the short water pump on it but it didn't come with the motor. Do any of you guys have one you'd be willing to sale. I've looked on ebay and fordbarn with no luck. So maybe I can get some help here. Leave me a PM and I will get back with you. Any chance you can post a pic of your pulley. I thought the short shaft pumps were on the cars and the long shaft on the trucks. I sold a pulley last summer from a truck and I have one on another engine but I am not ready to part it out. I just saw one on ebay the other day but was for the truck I think. Would like to see yours.

My 49 F 1 has a flat six. I am willing to part it out. I will check in AM on pulley. If interested let me know.

I just took a measurment on my pulley. The one I have is 3 3/8 inches long. Thats from the back of the pulley to the front where the fan bolts to it. The short pulley I need would have to be a 1" (inch) or more shorter. I don't know the exact measurment of the short pulley so thats the best I can do. Thanks Scott
