Smile transmission

Hey Everyone,
I have a 63 with a motor swap that i am trying to finish hooking up, and the question is.....there are two rods coming out of the drivers side of the trans and im sure these hook to the shifter, what i am not sure of is do i use 1 shifter for both rods, or two seperate shifters. This was on the column but has been moved to the floor. Thnaks

Welcome to FTE, If your column has only one shift arm it was for an automatic.

When you lift the lever of a manual shift, it shift reverse and 1st gear, letting it drop shifts 2nd and 3rd gears.

You will have to have both arms hooked up to make it operate correctly.
