I just hooked up a tach to my 1995 f150 with lots of motor mods and the revlimiter cuts out at 5000 rpm. is there any thing I can do with that. Help would be appreciated.
Most aftermarket tachs have an adjustment on them and are not always very accurate out of the box. To calibrate the tach you need to connect an oscilloscope or automotive DMM that measures RPM to the tach output on the motor and adjust the aftermarket tach to corresponds with the actual rpm the motor is turning.
