disgusted.....

i am disgusted right now, nothing ever goes f-in right, truck needs tires bad so to hold off until i get tires from ron i decided to throw my old 2 mud terrains on the back of my truck and put the rear's up front since we are supposed to get a snow storm tomarrow. Easy task right? no, wrong. i always antiseize my lugs and hubs but its been a long time since i last had my wheels off, soooooooo, i got all but one broke loose on the left side, snapped the other off, i was fuming, got all the others broke loose though, pulled the left rear wheel and figured i'd slide the drum off and adjust my shoes since they have been grabbing alot in the mornings lately. more disgust...... both shoes cracked horribly, all the way through to the metal backing. drum is slightly discolored and has some grooving in it. moved to the right side, same thing, cracked horribly. reassembled the rear and put the mudterrains on.

now i moved to the front, jacked up the left front and checked the ball joints. Upper and lower are loose, not nasty but still bad, brakes are shot, pads are almost gone, discs are cracked up pretty bad and discolerd heavily. moved to right front, upper and lowers are flopping they are so loose. man i am red as a freaking tomato at this point.

throw all the wheels on and put it together(minus the busted stud of course). at this point in time i have 4 slightly less balled tires on the truck with miss matched wheels, one busted stud, a 4 wheel brake job waiting and all balljoints loose. now i open the hood to check my powersteering level to see if its low and diag why the truck wont steer unless its rolling. i feared the worst and thin ki got it, slighty low but the bigger issue is the pitch black fluid left in the resevoir. i flushed it with over a gallon of new fluid to try and clean it out, after all that fluid i am left with brown fluid instead of black.in utter disgust i called it quits, parked the truck, came in here and started typing.

so now i need lots of money to fix/upgrade my truck so lots is for sale, pm me for what i got or what you are looking for.

i am not putting drums back on the rear of the truck, i am converting to discs so i need lots o money....lol got to pay for tires, need front brakes and ball joints....... pain in the ****.. GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you need a PM plan (preventative maintenance). Sorry to hear it. Think on the bright side. You have good quality time coming up and the opportunity to upgrade!!

It is on those days, that I am thankful to have my Excursion as a back up to pull my trailer. I'll leave the the 250 at home and stew for a day or two, then fix it and get it back on road.

Sorry to hear about your day c00n. Those rims can be a real pain to remove. I just dropped $1000 for tires and a alignment two weeks ago.

If it makes you feel any better my axle seal is out again..grrr (I replaced it two years ago) and I need new brakes in the font...
