2006 door keypad code
My friend just purchased a 2006 " Eddie Bauer " Explorer, and it has an entry key pad on the driver's door. The owners manual says the code is printed on a card, but it is nowhere to be found. Is the code printed anywhere in the vehicle? If not, what will the dealer have to do to get it? He did not buy it from the dealer, and feels he will be charged big $$ if he goes there. Thanks for your help!

Look up front of the jack storage box area for a electroic box. It has the entry code on it according to someone on this site a week or two ago.

I have a '99, & the code was where Graygeorge mentions. In the cargo area on the drivers side where the jack is kept. I was able to change the code (I think the procedure is in the manual) to my birthday, so I wouldn't forget it.

It is sometimes printed on the control module. On my 2002 Sport Trac I had to pop off the defrost vent (up next to the windshield) and then go outside with a flashlight and look through the windshield down behind the dash. There was a white label with the 5 digit code on it.
