shaved gt40, stock ho cam retarded 4 degrees, 1.7 roller rockers, dual plane intake, 470 truck avenger carb, long tube headers. make good power from idle to 5500.

If you are going to keep the suspension at current height I would agree with conanski on the heads, but I would strongly advise using a roller cam. All you need is the retrofit lifters and a regular roller, get one with the 351W or 5.0 fire order. The are a ltiile more, but you can wipe a hydraulic these days like you can wipe you ***... which is to say easily....

If you are thinking about lifting that thing in the future a 347 stoker kit would be really nice to push 35s, or just find a 351W to rebuild and forget spending the green on the stroker kit!

I won't be lifting it. well maybe not, I'd like to put some 33 inch AT's but I may go with a 31 inch. I may post some pics pretty soon, the motor is out and tore down on the engine stand.
