I don't mean to keep Hi-Jacking this thread from the OP (and feel free to yell at me if you want), but what kind of mileage increase/decrease did you notice after you installed the injectors?

After I installed my injectors, my overhead started to go up. I reset the overhead and took a 180 mile trip on the highway. At 60 mph I was getting 58.7 mpg, at 70 mph I was gitting around 53 mpg, according to the lie-o-meter. . I don't know what I really get because I use a transfer tank to pump my diesel to my truck. No meter on it. I think I am getting around 14-14.5 on the highway. I don't keep track of the mpg, because I need the truck and what it gets, it gets. I did get 540 miles with a little over 1/8 of a tank left, coming back from DP-TUNER. I have a 38 gal tank on my truck.

For what it's worth...I just got a set from Swamps Diesel Performance in TN and have been really happy. I actually had them do the install as well. I saw the shop and how they did the rebuilds / mods etc. Nice folks to deal with.

Do you remember or know what nozzle size you got? I remember Ron saying he got stage 2's with 100% over nozzles, which I take as being the largest nozzles for 2's. I'm guessing that you didn't get nozzles that bigl.

I see on ITP's website that JD linked that they have different nozzle sizes listed but don't understand exactly what they are.

I have seen some good deals on Stage 1s I possible might a chance to get some DPP Stage 2s that are used but thats a slight chance if the man doesn't change his mind. I am not planning on going anyfarther then a modified HPOP and injectors . I just want a little bit more powe i'd be happy in the 350 or so range.

BTW - Are yours starting to shell out on you? I recall you saying something on another thread about one or maybe more of your injectors weren't testing well.

That's exactly what I was thinking as well, the 175/146. Those are probably the ones that I will get when I get up the money. I think that Rich is running those same injectors.

I think that mine are 80%. Still the same amount of fuel, Ron's will spray out faster, but mine will spray out in more of a mist. His will have a little more power, but I was told the EGTs will be higher. Mine are better for pulling, and Rons are better for racing. This is what I think I know of how they work.

Yes #8 buzzed very weak but it could be the UVC harness.

I seen those for a 1050 but I just got off the phone with Ryan Casserly and he said he could get me some Stage 2s from him with cash for 1750 installed. Which these would be the same things that Rick bought, Ryan builds Bean's injectors.

JD, Ryan is actually out on his own now from what I understand. I'll see if I can find his website again.

Yep thats how I found it today heh, he was pretty cool to talk to on the phone. He said these stage 2s will flow the same amount of oil as the hybrids and if I go with the modified 17* HPOP that will be it for me for a while if I get to do it. Maybe throw a van turbo on if I can find me one. Its actually pretty cool that three of the major 7.3L power makers are all in the same county :-p.

But won't you get more fuel with the same amount of oil from the hybrids?
