okay, i have found that some early (ish) fords came with the coveted Saginaw pump...also found out you can get them from the local parts bins (Advanced, the zone, ect.)...now im wondering what the differences, if any, between the ford and chev saginaw pumps...also, where could i find mounting brackets for these pumps? what kind of lines/adapters will i need to purchase/order to make it work...
also, and more importantly at the moment...i am havin one heck of a time tryin to find hydroboosts (esp. ford ones). im tryin to stay pure as possible, but im willing to run a few GM doodads to get my truck moving (or stopping, however you look at it). i have searched E-vans and cannot seem to locate any hydro units...what year(s) am i looking for, also what else came equipped with hydroboost? and what will bolt up to my 78 F-truck? ...the less bracketry i have to fab, the better (not that im against it) any and all help is already appreciated. i'll prolly drop in and update my list of questions as i think of things to ask...thanks guys!
look at the lincolns. I got mine off a '78 and it had hydroboost. Lincolns came with both the 400 and the 460. My bracket came off an '80 bronco with a 400. All I had to do was oblong the holes a little bit. The bracket kind of looks like an "A", with a built in tensioner. Don't think I have a picture of it yet.
