Weather permitted and I had a decent day at work so I came home to examine my truck. I figured out why it was hard to start and wouldn't idle until it was warm...the choked was tied open. I also figured out whythey did that...it doesn't function properly or at all.
I alos discovered that every single vacuum port has been plugged. The manifold "tree", carb. ports, everything...plugged.
It starts a lot better and idles with the choke closed...only problem is, it does't open.
I'm not sure if it was once operated by the exhaust port or not. There's a block off plate there now. The choke is electric but soon to be manual...cheap/quick fix.
