Alright gentlemen I have found the code from the factory for the keypad to unlock and lock the doors etc. I follow the instructions on entering the code and setting a new one but the thing is that the drivers side door doesnt even react to the factory code being entered into the keypad. I called the dealer and this time instead of 20 bucks to get the code they want 80-100 to run a diagnoses and tell me what is wrong. but you all seem to be knowledgable about this subject so lets give it a shot. Any tips ideas or intrest in this problem? I would really like to have this working again. Thanks
it is a 2001 explorer sport trac 4 door. I havent checked the fuses but the keypad lights up when a button is pressed so that makes me believe the fuses have to be in working condition correct? I will have to download the owners manual again and check them but I believe they are fine.
I looked up the manual and looked for fuses for the door keypad etc. I didnt see anything related to that so I checked the power locks and etc fuses and they are all in operable working order. So I dont know what the deal is now. I cant even push the last two buttons and get the doors to lock. So something is going wrong. Any Ideas
