ok here's my problem again, tried tirerack.com but all i could find at max was to fit a 10 or 10.5 rim. i have some 15x12 rims. yes 12 deep, that i need tires for. i have some 29 11.5 on them right now but they are biased ply and just dont hold up to annything! the guy i bought them off of said i would need somthing around a 315 tire to fit it. i have searched and searched finding only tires that are way to tall to fit my 85 stepside, or WAY to expensive, or they are just drag slicks. all i want is a street tire perferably under 100$. all i need is 2 tires. if i cant find tires for them then does anyone want them?
FYI: aluminum cast 15x12 similar to AM mojave rims...
Yep, like everything else, common sized tires are cheap, uncommon size tires are expensive. Someone with one of those 4x4 trucks with the huge lift and 44" tires could probably use them, though it would have to have a 1/2 ton wheel pattern, and most of those guys are running probably the 8 lug f250/350 rims. I have seen Full size Broncos with huge tires, so there may be someone who would want them.
Tires for that wheel would be Hoosier radials or Mickey Thompson radials and they are expensive , BF Goodrich make a tire for a 10 inch rim but not 12 . I would think those would stick out to far , I ran 10s on my flareside and they stuck out 2 inches past the fenders , it had a 3.6 backspace . Now I run 8s that tuck in and later I will buy 10s with a 5 inch backspace or buy 3 inch wider fenders and run 12s .
just to clear things up, my wife-to-be bought me these and told me if i sold them she'd put my head on a pike.... sorry poorman but she wont let me sell them for now... will get pics however and keep you in mind
ok so if they stick out 4 in that would get me in trouble... what about biased ply tires? they have a set on them but i cant get them to stay aired up. everytime i patch them i get another hole before i get ANYWHERE! perhaps i am using the wrong psi, is 30 too much?
sorry i couldent resist. but sereously thanks for all the replies and the information. any suggestions on a brand that would last? if i'm gonna spend the money would love for them to run for more than a little while.
