disable ebpv!

i was wondering if there was a way to diable my ebpv?do you think there is something wrong - because when the cold weather started coming around i would here a hissing sound, i've been hearing it for years,now there is a loud grumble that goes along w/ that hissing sound! any ideas what that sound is?

put it on a switch. if you disable it, it takes forever to warm up!

90% of people unplug it, has no effect on warm up times. the other 10% wire it up as an exhaust brake. this picture shows you how to wire it as a brake, but you can also see the plug if you want to just unplug it.

Mine is gone completey. I hate the system. With out high idle the EBPV is useless for warm-ups in my experience.

so do a cut the wire, or unplug it- either way do you have a pic of it not set up as an exhaust brake-still wondering what that extra sound is

the extra noise is probably just normal exhaust that you can now hear due to straight pipe

ive had straight pipes for years, never that sound but it does sound like excess exhaust

mine does the same thing when i turn on the ebpv. if you dont want an exhaust brake just unplug it and make sure the buterfly valve is open have you checked for exhaust leaks? could be that too
