why do u guys need anything ellse try to find a audiophile setup!
because not all of us have the wiring harness under the rear seat in order to plug the sub/amp in! It's not pre-wired for all trucks. Mainly just people with Lariats were able to find the harness plug under the rear seat if they didn't have audiophile to begin with.
So why try to custom wire splice the audiophile sub amp to work when an aftermarket setup would be easier to do.
If you use the lines leavels or the RCA converters, You use the sourse from the rear speakers, yes? do you lose the sound from the speaker you tap? or does it power decrease? Also for a single sub, do you tap both rears? and what is the wire colors?
I tapped into the rear speaker wires and the speakers still play just fine. I can't remember for sure on my amp, but I think I tapped into both right and left speakers even though I'm using a single sub. Probably better to have a balanced input by tapping into both right and left wires.
