Is there anything new to this software update since its reinstatement? Or is it just that it doesn't kill the TCM now? I had mine done just before the program was suspended. Therefore, my real question is: Is there any advantage to going back in and having it redone? I think it did boost my fuel economy by as much as 10%. TIA
I also had my truck done last fall. I had it done again about a week ago because it still wasn't telling me when it was in regen. Reading from my last work order it say's "checked for update for PCM and found later cabibration for vehicle" So there is an update for the PCM (what ever that is) I can tell you I now know when my truck is in regen and I also believe it has a different shifting patteren. It now shifts into 5th at about 50mph.
Last fall would not have been the customer satisfaction program but a different programming change altogether.

I had my 08B07 CSP update done on 10/22/08. That would have been last fall!!!!! It has had a slightly different shift pattern and tells me when it's in regen ever since.
I supppose your right !!!!!!!!!!!! your exploitives were definitely necessary !!!!!!!!!!
As for my explanation, it is the new year and I forgot it is no longer 2008. Last fall would have been 2007 to me but oh well!!!!!!!!!!!
On top of it two months ago "October" for me is not last fall since it was only two months ago if even that long because it was october 22nd it is barely over a month!!!!!!!!!!! Aren't exploitives fun!!!!!!!!
On top of it winter technically started two weeks ago so I guess you are right !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 08B07 Bulletin was issued in October, 2009. Some of you were able to have the CSP 08B07 reflash done before Ford found some vehicles lost the TCM data during the reflash. The CSP was suspended until 10 December when the CSP 08B07 was reinstituted. The new CSP 08B07 is described in the TSB 08-25-7/8/9 depending on truck build date.
There was another reflash dated 16 August as TSB 07-17-3 in which some of the upgrades in the new CSP 08B07 were done then. The new CSP 08B07 has these plus more upgrades done to PCM and TCM.
I just had mine done yesterday with good sucess. If you are not sure if the CSP 08B07 was performed or not sucessfully, ask your dealer to check Oasis to see if your vin number is listed for the free reflash.
That was just a new year mistake I am sure. I laughed at myself today when I wrote a check and actually remembered to put 2009 on it instead of 2008. Usually that takes a month or so for me to get in my head.
