SCMT 1715 - running 92 on the 87 program.
I have a tankful of 92 right now and am running the Tow Performance Program. I want to see the difference between that and the 87 program.
~Will having the 92 in there skew my results?
~Will it perform the same with the 92 in there as it would with the 87 when running the 87 program?
I want to see if I like the 87 but don't want to wait until the tank is empty, refill it with 87 just to find out I like the Tow Performance program better.

Run it with 87 octane. If the 87 octane tune has any ping, it will pull back a bit of timing (and a slight amount of power). If you're running with 92 in it the ping wouldn't occur and timing wouldn't be pulled out. Not saying that it pings with 87, but they do increase the knock advance rate tables a bit in the 87 octane tune.
