Stacking programer and chips

Ok I just got a edge programer and I was wondering if I could stack it with my bully dog chip or if I need to take the chip out?

If you like your truck not frying your PCM, sell the edge and get a different chip.

Hey, instead of bashing something that isn't understood....(I LOVE the internet)

To the OP:

No, you cannot "stack" a chip with your programmer because anything that is flashed to the PCM via any programmer like your Evolution will be overridden completely by the chip.

You will have to remove the chip before performing ANY flash programming or you stand the chance of destroying the PCM and the chip.

Your right. That was unlike FTE. x2 on what cleatus said. Some guys have had trouble with edge ruining their pcm's, thats what i meant. But its hit or miss, some do, some love it.

I would lean to say that the Bully Dog chip will out perform the edge tuning. I had an edge cts I won and my chip PHP would walk rings around it. If you purchased it new I would send it back and take the money to get your chip reburned.

Please help us understand it. I mean this in a non-sarcastic and non-smart-alec way.

I think the link Mike posted says it all. Its well understood that they often cause problems with our rigs and i personally wouldnt risk it.
