just got it!!

Just got my scmt and filled up with 93 and programed I feel the diff. but when I bought it I thought it had 3 different programs as the web site states "The new Max MicroTuner is now available with an 87 octane program, a 91-93 octane towing program and a 91-93 octane high performance program" when programming the tuner I didn't have the option, the model # is 1715. I bought it used and it programmed no problem but what I bought it for was the towing program. Am I doing some thing wrong?

The caveats of buying used: buyer beware. Sounds like someone sold you an older unit. What's the complete model number from the back? Does the box say 1996-2002 on a white sticker on the outside?

sure does. I got a great price on this so I am not going to complain real loud. What is the difference in claimed HP and TQ increases between the old style and the new?

Okay, if it says 2002 then its a standard 91-93 tuner. This is a tow performance program so you'll do just fine with it. The newer tuner has an 87 octane (mainly just helps the tranny) and an all-out program for no towing. The important thing is that you're happy with it!
