I didn't get the chance to make the door handles, I'm still unsure of the design I want to go with but I'll definetly post pictures of what ever I end up doing. I will also be posting a write up on a custom dash panel that I hope you'll all find helpful.

Just put that on my pickup here lately.
It -feels- a lot better than it looks! ;)

Years ago fixed that ****-less crank from the wrecking yard but didn't really
like it much. But the original on my pickup, since then, having gotten loose
as anything, finally got to where the wood knobbed "clunker" wasn't so bad? ;)

The wood **** is from the hardware store, it was bare wood.
That's the part I don't like.

The part I like you can't see...
I figured out a way to get the nylon tubes and washers (from the hardware
store isle with the little drawers full of cool stuff! ;) to make the **** be
both snug and smooth feeling as you crank the window.

I glued the screw into place?
Haven't lived with it long enough to know if my design will hold up tho.

As always, my ideas are posted as just a starter for you to figure out
something you like better and then tell us what you fiNgured out. :)

Certain hardware stores have cool solid black plastic ***** with brass
machine screw threaded inserts (like little gear shift *****) and all sorts
of stuff.

ps- cool post and thread Casey! :)
pps- been thinking along the same lines for decades but the arm-rest
and door handle stuff, has always puts the brakes-on, to my thinking. :/
ppps- looking forward to someone figuring that part out for me. :)

As for the arm rest there are 2 screws on the top so I'll just be using two screws that will go down from the top making the arm rest removable if I ever needed to do so. It'll also help the door stay snug and attached. I'm thinking just a simply semi circle about 3/4" thick covered in the same fabric.
