It make more sense for that Boss Mustang to go for 325k than a Shelby Mustang. That year of 'Shelby' Mustang was built by Ford, and uses a run-of-the-mill engine. The Boss 429 is far more exotic.
I saw a 56 Ford Vicky here in Idaho with a built 429 Boss engine (the owner said it dynoed at 750 hp, and I don't doubt him). What a sweet ride.
Barret Jackson Scottsdale, Arizona lot #436 I think......'71 Torino Cobra sold for $100,000. It had a bench seat and wasn't even a super rare dragpack cobra.
I just restored my father's '70 Torino Cobra SCJ dragpack 429 4 speed, finished the body and interior in July, just need to do the motor & trans now. He is the original owner, but sold it in 1982, but we got it back just recently.....it'll never leave the family again.
Hard to believe that car out in the garage is worth $100,000+...............
One of those cars I wish I had, but never will. (1970, not 1971...would like something from the year I was born, and only the 1970 sportsroof, and Torino are to my liking, with the Torino far and above the stang)
